Are you suggesting program error as in Garmin Express the software between Strava and the watch?
He should know this, so he can contact either Garmin or Strava (if he is using Garmin) to sort this out. I know someone that ran into a similar error correction with Suunto the same watch the Kilian Jornet had "major corrections" with on Everest.....hmmmm......
I think the Garmin live tracker was possibly a bug, but I'm not basing my analysis on it since I don't have screenshots or a way to download that data.
The issues I'm seeing in Proctor's Strava data are not a one time thing since I would dismiss a one time anomaly as being a bug. There are repeated anomalies in Proctor's data since he started his run across Canada that I do not see in his Strava data from before the run.
I'm not comfortable to say definitively what Proctor is doing on his run or if he can explain it, only that I find the data he is producing very suspicious.
