Still some tough mountain passes to come including Rogers pass to Golden B.C. tomorrow and Kicking Horse from Golden to Banff the day after....though he is behind his goal pace , he could make it up on the Praries;
that being said comparing records is silly IMHO , anyone that has ran or biked on the Trans Canada realizes that going west to east is much easier than east to west direction (Howie's record) due to the prevailing winds generally being from the West ....good luck to him though...
There is no way he can make up the miles of his over ambitious goal.
If he survives the injury, Dave should be happy to maintain 55-60 miles per day. But first he has to survive the injury.
