Still some tough mountain passes to come including Rogers pass to Golden B.C. tomorrow and Kicking Horse from Golden to Banff the day after....though he is behind his goal pace , he could make it up on the Praries;
that being said comparing records is silly IMHO , anyone that has ran or biked on the Trans Canada realizes that going west to east is much easier than east to west direction (Howie's record) due to the prevailing winds generally being from the West ....good luck to him though...

Looks like that Rodgers Pass is 1314 meters high. That shouldn't be a big challenge running wise. But it might be difficult to crew there.

After listing in to some of the interviews Mike Cameron did, it looks like that Dave has some mental adjustments to do. Putting his unrealistic daily mileages away and think about what he can actually do on a daily basis. Multiday runs like this one are about finding the balance of getting enough miles in each day but also enough rest to continue the next day.
Now since he seem to have shin splints it's a lot more painful to do. Not impossible but really hard.
I really hope he continues, even if it will take him 80 days which would be still a huge accomplishment.
