He actually covered this in his last blog post, so he is aware of the feet issue. Would be hard to imagine any ultra runner wouldn't be.

His goal does seem overly ambitious, why break the record by 6 days? His previous best for 6 days was 601km, now he wants to run faster than that pace for 66 days? Will be interesting to see what happens after the first week of running...

To be fair, that best of 601km was only after he dropped out 4 days in from that blister issue so not really a faster pace than that

his website talks about the Across the Years where he had his issues
