RE: Road Racing and Training Thread. Week Ending May 13 2018
Into my final two weeks until my marathon.
Goal: Sub 2:45
Was a good week, got a last long run in and ready for marathon on May 26. In-spite of what other people have said, I am actually racing a 5k next week, so that will be my final speed workout and I plan to get a nice long cool down after it to still get mileage in on Saturday the week before the marathon. I'm still pretty young so I think I can handle it ;) however, I won't blast it so that I'm not totally dead.
T-5x1k at 3:15 with 90 sec rest
S-16 @ 6:29 pace (5miles easy, 3miles tempo x 2)
S-Recovery 3 miles
