Then there is flats (shorter and longer), light weight trainers, trainers, spikes (one for racing, one for training but if you race 800m to 3k you could have various race day spikes).
Clothing, for all weather.
Cross training gear. Gym memberships.
And if you want to race, registering is expensive.
