I have noticed that many pro-runners are rushing to pay respect and say congratulations to Shalane, while no one seemed to even care about Hasay's 3rd and blazing fast time in Chicago on that day.
Btw, ironically, Hasay congratulated Shalane as well.
I always figured hasay wouldn’t have a stellar pro career because of how college went for her. She had success but seemed to be at her peak.
Not because she’s running well now, but because of how gracious she is to congratulate her fellow Americans runners when they do well and handle the scrutiny of them doubting her judgement. This is why I have become a big fan of hers and I genuinely hope she continues to have success! I will continue to root for hasay!
