RE: Absurd newspaper piece of high school track "journalism"
I think he is right if you look at most t&f Highschool athletes. Ever watch the girls steeplechase at a Highschool meet? At the back, it's girls jogging, climbing over hurdles and smiling, waving to the crowd. It's not that they are slow, they don't take it seriously ( then again, the steeplechase isn't their event).

But you must remember, at let's run, most of us are incredibly dedicated to our sport. Many of us go to large, well developed track programs, and if we don't, we train hard on our own.

But at many schools, t&f is a joke. And I think this article points that out, perhaps in the wrong way.
