RE: What could I hit in the mile this season?
I just had another race yesterday, and waddled to a 5:01. I don't know why I died, but I died almost immediately. It was probably because I had just done the 4x8 about 25 minutes ago, where I ran pretty well, to a 2:09. I capped off the meet in the 4x4 with a 56 split.
I'm kind of nervous of doing the mile again next meet. I really want to break/ go lower into 4:40, but the mile seems daunting after such a poor race. I'm considering trying the 800 fresh, where I think I'd probably run a 2:07 (the relay split was solo as we were the only team). Do you guys think I should give the mile another go?
