The OP did a steady fade with 28, 30, 32, 35 and picked it up a bit with 33.

Hitting 1:30 at 600 that way made the 4th 200 hard.
I think hitting 600 at 1:32 by going 30, 31, 31 could have set him up for a 63 finish instead of 68, which would produce 2:35.

And more base and strength work would produce an even faster finish off of a 1:32 opening.

It's not just setting a goal time and dicing by five 200m splits.
