Injury or rather absence of injury is another positive when evaluating a persons sports career.
While it is always hard to compare different eras Bill ran and won or placed well no matter who showed up to race.
The idea of saying that if he wasn't injured he would have done this or that is folly. You don't actually do it--- it ain't on your resume.
Plus Bill dips cold pizza into the mayo jar and eats it standing in the light from the refrigerator, he puts egg salad on chocolate chip cookies and washes it down with beer. What does Ritz bring to the training table that remotely compares?
He said before the race he was going to put everything on the table. Is that the same?
