I know he wasn't that prepared as seemed last minute, but Bekele did stuggle in the Ethiopean 10,000m trials this summer and that was after the decent london marathon and the 10km great manchester run he won. It was after that race that Hermens did say Bekele wanted to come back and race Mo in 2017 in the 10,000m....but maybe it was just anger after not doing a good race there.
