Not necessarily unhappy. I just feel like I've trained for long distances for almost a decade now and was always supposed to be a long distance runner. I wasn't good at the 100m dash in middle school, I was good at the mile. If I'm truly a short distance guy, the miles I put in every summer are worth half as much as the miles others put in. It would mean CC was/is/will be an uphill, losing battle and results that would be expected of others in my training situation will never come.
Cross is 50% of my running and it's a futile effort, you know?
