I ran 1:18 my sophomore year of HS which was about 4 years ago, & I haven't ran at all the past 2-3 years since I quit running besides a few jogs here and there. how long will it take me to get back into this shape? Around 5'10 & I've gained around 30-40 pounds (155 now was around 120 at top shape 75 MPW in HS) & smoked cigarettes for almost 2 years but I quit smoking about 2 weeks ago.
How do these factors affect my ability or chances of getting back into shape & being able to run sub 3 hours?
