Going by the very early gaps in Strava on his way across the country does anyone think they would have felt pressure to continue even though they RY may have have been stuffed very early on?
Maybe the plan was fake it as long as possible to build up some hype and publicity for Skins and RY and then pull out short of the finish. Just trying to get my head around how 2 other guys would be happy to cheat.
This would kind explain the ridiculous disregard for data recording while cheating. Maybe they figured if they abandoned later none of it would be needed. Lets face it with such rubbish data ain't no official records getting set.
Maybe I'm being too nice and they are just dodgy.
Dustin ghost wrote the book, right? So that's pretty good incentive to cheat. Can't figure out Michael's though, unless he felt a lot of implied pressure from his employer for this record attempt to be successful.
