Not defending them, just trying to understand them. I don't think they were part of the scam like Dustin. I think they got scammed in that 373 mile run to think Rob was superhuman. They had seen Rob run and thought it was all real. Natural to defend your running friend and think there had to be other explanations and it was all a big witchhunt. Painful to realize you were scammed by someone you thought you knew. Maybe Andy came to realize it. I'd like to see those comments. I don't know if CoachKev ever did.
IF that's true, then they're *frighteningly* stupid. And they didn't quite seem THAT stupid, so it's natural to tend towards assuming that they *were*, in one way or another, part of his scam.
It's one, or the other, or some combination of both: Either those guys flat out LIED about all of it --like their buddy Robby-- or they're incomprehensibly dumb and gullible.
Neither is a really happy place to be.
I agree. At this point, continuing to deny Rob's wrongdoing means you're either in on it or you lack sensible critical thinking skills.
SKINS posted to his FB right before the injury to say "Go Rob!!! We love you!" basically... They are thinking about as critically/scientifically on this as they do regarding their claims of "proven increase in muscle oxygenation" or whatever BS their clothes are supposed to do.
