ATTENTION

This is very suspicious: there are two different results for the 2014 Thames Meander Marathon

http://www.swifttiming.co.uk/cgi-bin/list_race_result.php?meet_event_id=360001

http://www.runbritainrankings.com/results/results.aspx?meetingid=108079&event=MarMT&venue=Kingston+Upon+Thames&date=23-Aug-14

The first results (3:56) are the official ones.

Is it possible Rob has edited the results of the second one? Can a British runner give more information about runbritainrankings? There are suddenly 2 position 11 runners!

This 3:11 is a big outlier for Rob. I don't think there is splits information.

I have archived the results: http://archive.is/RpkUx

It looks like you can indeed edit your results! To the right there is an envelope (notify us of amends).
It seems like RY has managed to convince the site administrators to change his results.
A British runner could clarify how this site works.

Good catch. FWIW, there's also another runner, Michael Smith, who has moved up the list. From 231st to 35th place.

How did you notice he moved? Are there other runners who have moved?[/quote]

Hello, a British runner here. Yes you can ask Powerof10/RunBritian to amend your times but you usually have to send them decent evidence of your correct time - pic of you crossing the the line with a clock, or a PDF or link to the 'correct' results. Thinking maybe he created a fake results list and sent it to them. They don't have time to check everything and it's hardly such a remarkable result that they would care.

Out of interest on the 3:11 results for this race, this guy was one place ahead: http://www.thepowerof10.info/athletes/profile.aspx?athleteid=694570

and this guy one place behind (v well known multiple marathoner in the UK of a good standard) http://www.thepowerof10.info/athletes/profile.aspx?athleteid=694570

Seems unlikely with RY's previous results that he's be up there with these guys.

BTW Thames Meander has a lot of off-road sections - it's run on Thames towpath and you have to dodge other runners, cyclists, walkers. It's flat but not the fastest of courses because of this.
