Don't take this too wrong (OK, take it as wrongly as you want), but I think you're just trying to deflect from the suspicious London effort. Let the Let's Run investigators delve into the splits and photo evidence.
The fact that this guy "ran" a 3:07 in the middle of a run across America, plus did an interview, points to shenanigans.
I also think that you'll get little traction drawing interest to some of those esoteric multi-day running records. Show that he cheated at the London marathon and you have internet clicks. Just ask Doubler.
