But, if I were going for a world record-- you'd better bet the whole house and farm I'd have a Garmin, backup, and then backup for the backup. You just don't go into something like this expecting people to be understanding when you don't have proof of what you did. You don't go into something like this unprepared, and ill prepared to answer questions. You don't balk and stall and refuse to address problems. You have to have data. Proof is your burden. Period.
