RE: Robert Young fakes run across America
OK, so I last looked at Rob's progress last night around 9pm (ET). At that time he was just outside of Jefferson City, MO.
It is roughly 5am (ET) and looked again. He has not made it very far from where I had his tracker last marked at.
It seems he has been in Jefferson City, MO area since roughly 11am (ET) since Thursday June 9th. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Per where his tracker had him at yesterday and where he is currently - I think this has been the most legitimate portion of his attempt. Also, with the other data and the speed at which he was moving prior to yesterday/today, I think he would have been a bit ahead of schedule (per his route dates). Now, this could potentially put him on schedule again and/or behind schedule.
So, I now believe that Rob may either be A)Actually running and probably has the tracker itself on him or B) Close to an injury and will abandon the attempt soon. As it appears the sub 6 (5) min/mile pace has suddenly ended since he got half way across the country. I mean just like in any marathon, once you get halfway, you do tend to slow down!
Now, if it was me driving him, like when I drove dane, there would have been much more legitimacy with twitter time stamps, the GPS surely would have been on the front and back of the RV and the runner would have been sleeping (or daning) like a baby in the back bed of the RV without anyone knowing the better.
