Bit late to reply as I did what somebody suggested and ploughed through all 24 pages. It does make interesting reading. There seems to be a mix of people concerned at the validity of the attempt and others who just want to throw a bit of vitriol around. I do understand the questions people have, particularly after the Vaz incident we have had over here. What I guess I came on here to do was just throw a little light on the other side. You see people immediately writing off everything Rob has done, just because there hasn't been an explanation for what was happening when you were videoing. It doesn't mean there isn't one, just that one hasn't been given. I know he completed that sleepless run because I did 60 miles of it with him, took over from somebody else and handed on to someone else (which reading back was the Kev poster) That time Rob didn't gps it all because he was not doing a Guinness record, and I don't think he actually had a GPS watch. I posted up my strava for my section and I'm sure others could. But it is annoying when you see people saying he definitely didn't do that on the basis they are doubting he is doing this. Like you, I really do hope people go along and run with him as they say they are. I reckon they will be surprised by what they find but, if they do find he has been cheating, there will be no one more surprised than me. Also Rob has said that he has been wearing a GPS watch all the time, so hopefully some data will be forthcoming. 1.30am here now, so this will be my last post.
GPS data will prove nothing. Anyone can put a Garmin on a dashboard of an RV.
