Very succinct and measured. I think you have summed it up really well there and I probably am in agreement. I do think Rob is capable but I don't know about all his other claims. I think he addressed the 10k thing at one point - reckon he had basically put up his fastest 10k whcih was run during a marathon rather than an official time for a 10k race. He has since clarified this on his site.
As for his first three marathons, I don't know about those although sometimes I think people are capable of very surprising things. If you'd told me a few months ago I'd run 52 miles a day for 17 days and not feel tired at the end of each day, I would never have believed you. So I surprised myself and am prepared to be surprised by others.
No way he split a 30:47 10K in a marathon. Pure rubbish. I bet Rob couldn't break 10 mins in a 2 mile race/time trial.
