RE: Arcadia kid fails to take down Austin Tamagno's Mt. Sac record. And blabs about how soft it is.
The guy is confident and opinionated. That is ok. I thought he was just saying that this course record was not that great. he may be right that he would have run faster with competition. It seems just as likely that he race would have been more tactical but that's his opinion.

But this course layout isn't that old, and by looking how the top 10 times have changed tremendously over the last 3 years, I don't think it's a stretch to say the record is soft. If the weather holds and when they run CIF SS finals, it's probably 50-50 whether either he or Austin will break it. But neither would have a chance at German's record. I've never met Rocha, but I doubt he would say German's record is soft just because it was solo.
