About the program for 1500m runner during track season, there was little work at 1500m race pace (57-58s per 400m)for that athlete. Why?
Is it important during track sessions to run mostly of your track workouts at race pace? To become comfortable at that pace.
Example for a 1500m runner is 10x400m 1 min rec at race pace.
In your program there wasn’t really any race pace training,
but lot of mix speeds during the track sessions.
