RE: Mr. Renato Canova: Could You Please Answer a Question About Effective Ways to Improve the Lactate Threshold?
Based on Coe's first book, that Martin had no involvement with, Coe ran about 75 per week in the dead of winter plus plenty of gym work, hill reps, etc.

During the spring, his mileage was more like 50-60. In the summer, it was around 40 if count warmups and cooldowns, plus or minus, depending upon the week.

Coe did not count warmups and cooldowns, but nobody said he had too. There is a great deal of psychology going on at the elite level. If one can psyche others out, then so be it. Tinman
