RE: Mr. Renato Canova: Could You Please Answer a Question About Effective Ways to Improve the Lactate Threshold?
No you are wrong, Mplatt is correct.

Your problem:

400mt/54sec = 7.407mt/sec

7.407mt x .8 = 5.9259mt/sec

400mt/5.9259mt = 67.5sec

2:10 marathon problem:

42195mt/2:10:00 (130min or 7800sec) = 324.577mt/min or 5.4096mt/sec or 4:57.4969/mile.

*100mt/5.4096mt = 18.4856sec/100mt..*this was the only correct information in the euro coaches post.

5.4096mt/sec x .8 = 4.32768mt/sec

1000mt/4.32768mt = 3:51.07/1000mt or 6:11.87/mile

Do you see where you went wrong? Don't confuse percentage of time with the percentage of velocity.

Listen guys these Euro coaches are not GOD.

Malmo check my math, I think I got it right.
