RE: Could Mo Farah break the 10K track WR this summer?
my vote is that farah can take down the 10k record.

it really is about time both rupp and farah got their PR's down to where they should be....

again it is simple, the 1500m time and the 10k gold says it all. the speed, the range.

for sure moe could go 12:40 or better in the 5k, he's got to be 5 seconds better than anyone else - over the last few years. the way he cruises around the track, i'm not seeing real problems with moe averaging 13:05 for each 5k, that is with 2 or 3 good pacers. but where are you going to get the pacers?

maybe the best thing to do is have levins and a couple of american dudes take them to 5-6k, hire a couple of africans to take it to 8k, and have moe and rupp alternate laps and may the best man win at that point.

i think this solution would be acceptable to all.

that would be something to see, a real race and a real record attempt all in one.
