RE: Could Mo Farah break the 10K track WR this summer?

Wouldn't have thought it was possible until he ran his 3:27. Mo went from 'barely able to make a final' to 'best in the world.'

He didn't. Missed it by .82 seconds.

All this talk of Mo Farah and world records is ridiculous. 2.81 seconds off the WR in the 1500 is an eternity, 1.36% slower, equivalent to a 12:47 or a 26:37. Very good but not a record threat, and Farah has yet to actually approach that level in anything but 1500, nor is he training to. If he thought he could, he would have tried. Switching to marathons means he's given up on the idea if he ever even entertained it at all.
