The WC are 3 weeks away from NOW. This is the time that you judge elite athletes. Not what they ran in the Billy Bob Thorton 5k in March. If you are not producing in August then you are a non factor. Koll, Simpson, and Bizzari are most certainly having a rough transition. Does this mean that they will not have long and productive careers? Hell no, but it is ignorant to say that they have not had a rough transition.

Last year at this time there were posters on this board that were guaranteeing that Koll was going to make the Olympic team in the marathon and that Bizzari was going to be a factor in the 10k. Those things are further away now than they appeared to be last year at this time. And Koll's times from last summer were an extension of her college career and had nothing to do with the transition to the elite level.
