I believe they are direct. Dr. M didn't specify and at the time I didn't know to ask. Not sure I need to know though - the questionaire from Shouldice didn't ask me to specify.

I'm still waiting on the quote from Shouldice. They kicked it back to me for a bit more info. I've never been diagnosed with high blood pressure, but in the many doctor visits over the last 7 months a few nurses have commented on my blood pressure. I told Shouldice this in my questionaire and they wanted to know if its under control. I said I'd have it checked and they kicked it back to the doctor so I should have something next week. I'll have to make sure my blood pressure is under control before the surgery because they could send me home without surgery if it's high (or low). I don't want to travel to Canada for nothing.
