Thanks for the response, guys. Sorry to hear about the MCL, Albert. FMS sounds interesting. I think my PT is taking a class on that. Dennis, I definitely plan to follow your advice. I am taking it very easy -- trying to get my adductors to relax w/ massage, but i sometimes wonder if I should be doing more (stretching/yoga) My abs can't handle much, however.

As for your conditions...i have the same. mound-like wounds with tightness and even soreness over the incision areas. I am only massaging around the groin muscles (up to the leg crease, but not closer than 2-3 inches from the cut site) for fear that I could disturb the healing process of the cuts. massaging might be helping, but i still feel pretty tight. i also started stretching my calves and hamstrings to help keep other things loose.
