RE: Need for more collaboration
On a more positive note. I finished my last day of rehab today in preparation for departure for Munich in the morning. I feel pretty damn good. Lower ab and groin pain is there of course, but I am feeling pretty strong after 7 weeks of almost daily core work and walking. I'll report back on Tuesday after my appointment at Dr. Muschaweck's office before the repair on Wednesday. I'm curious if the rehab will show any difference whatsoever in the size of my tear/bulge during the Ultrasound. My guess is that it will not. The temporary pain relief I'm feeling is simply a reduction of inflammation and thus pressure on the nerve. I'm hoping that catching this injury early, getting a firm diagnosis by one of the specialist, and then dedicating myself to core rehab will be a path others can follow behind me with this injury. I have no doubt that Dr. Muschaweck's repair is the final stage of my completing a successful recovery from this injury in less than 8 months. I'll write more from Munich.
