RE: Anyone ever had a "Sports Hernia" aka: "Sportsman's hernia", "Gilmore's groin", or &
How long have you had your injury ??... I've talked to some who have had the same injury and just had to stop running anywhere from 2 months to 2 years... Fortunately everyone I've spoken to personally has overcome the injury (without surgery) but it can take a Really long time... One guy I know, who couldn't run for 2 years, has been back into it for over a year with no problems and he's running his fastest times ever.. He's in his early 30's... I think the key is to find alternative exercises that do'nt aggravate it and to be patient... I've been dealing with my injury for over 8 months and it is improving but at a snails pace... Also, I think there is alot that Dr's don't really understand about nerve irritation... I think it kind of goes along with a muscle injury in the groin area and Dr's are a little puzzled by it. Nerve sheath irritation heals slowly..Good Luck
