RE: Anyone ever had a "Sports Hernia" aka: "Sportsman's hernia", "Gilmore's groin
hey carptenter
what you have going on sounds a lot like what i have had going on. i *think* that the pain that is from the ilioinguinal nerve, at least that is what i have been told. the nerve can in many people travel down there to the root of the penis. when it is entrapped in fascial tissue, like what can happen with scarring from a sports hernia or similar, there can be a shooting pain that can be felt in what feels like deep inside the groin. at least that is what i feel here and there (but not nearly as often nor as severe as before my ap surgeries and the manual therapies post-op).
you might be feeling where the adductors longus and gracilus meet the pubic bone, and the irritated nerve there can be very irritated to radiate out.
feel free to email me if you want because it sounds the same as what i experience.
