Dude, lets face it, we live in a fat country full of fat people who don't know and don't care about a man who contributed in great ways to that strange thing called running to the top.

As for my conversion, well, it's true that I never ran more than 100km in a single week, but, Lydiardism or not, I worked hard to build what Lydiard termed a strong aerobic base, and I discovered the benefits of that.

Now, I do believe that this great man didn't invent it all, and some other coaches have some wonderful ideas that do indeed stand outside the Lydiard model.

I guess I'm responding like this because I'm very upset that many pages of this thread disappeared without explanation, and posts such as these will restart some of the lost stuff. I'm pissed!!!!!
