after reading this thread, it made me wonder if there are strengthening or stretching exercises that you can do to prevent the problem?

it seems that most running injuries are caused by lack of strength or flexibility in 1 or more muscles.

i have a bit of pain in the area being described in this therad and it would be nice to be able to prevent a full-blown injury.
