Some remarks on the Corona virus – Greetings from Denmark

YMMV

another fact wrote:

Loke, and everyone else, do you know that the CDC adds tens of millions of cases to the flu numbers every year? Their stats look like this (go to the CDC website not BBC, fox or cnn):

Flu Total number- 45,000,000

Number who sought health care -21,00,000

Number hospitalized : 800,000

Number dead: 61,000

So you understand that the total number is a guess. It’s a mathematical model. This model is not applied to covid at all in any country yet when figuring out mortality rates. To make a comparison to flu numbers ignores this very significant addition of tens of millions of untested cases. Loke, you’re analysis isn’t just lacking, it’s dangerously incorrect, and things like this cause fear and panic where level heads are needed. Wrong data=wrong plan=worse outcome.

Please everyone who doesn’t understand math, don’t post and don’t believe the posts you read. Just go to the cdc website.

I’m appalled that the non-tested assumed positives of the flu are being compared to only tested covid denominators in the mortality and contagion equations. Fauci is particularly egregious in his analyses.

Sorry, I love Denmark, and I’ll bet Loke is an awesome runner and good guy, but don’t spread these fallacies. It’s hurting people in real life. Everyone be careful what you’re doing.

A very good point to heed in comparing flu v. covid numbers at this stage. I don't think the OP intended to instill fear, but due caution. Thanks for the elucidation.
