Some remarks on the Corona virus – Greetings from Denmark

In the US we don't even have tests. Why not??

From my understanding we did not have an accurate test for this virus. The CDC wanted to make up their own test. The original test they made up was faulty. They could of chosen to use the WHO test but did not for some reason. This put the US two or more weeks behind in testing, Always a joy when the people in charge of the safety nets can not provide the nets.

The US now has multiple private companies making tests. These companies and the CDC are ramping up production as fast as they can. There is still some issues with administering the tests and getting accurate results. Training is also slowing the testing down atm. I'd say by the end of next week the US testing will be up to speed.

In the mean time all the US can really do is be cautious. social distance, wash hands, sanitize, self isolate if sick. Look at what has been going on in the last couple of days. Everything is shutting down for prevention reasons. The US is doing a really good job under the circumstances. People, events, organizations, governments are doing the right things.

This will hopefully be over soon enough. Hopefully for most people it will be something to laugh about like the swine flu, bird flu, Mayan calendar, Y2K or any other thing that was going to end the world as we know it.
