It not only about the time, that why I said, I don't want people to idolize only the world record holders. But time IS STILL, one of the main thing, and one of the main criteria of a great runner.
As I said, for me, if you idolize someone who can make suffer and give a run for their money to the top 3 then it's ok. Even if they don't beat them.
But like, if you idolize someone who isn't even slightly feared by the best, then it's a bit weird to me.
do people idolize him or are they just interested in him?
im sure ultra fans idolize him, that's a completely different thing. but track and field people?
