But Crippa ran 13:09 a month ago. He should have been well capable of it, even if no-one else was.
I also think Crippa could have done it. Apparently he did not dare trying it alone and the pacemaking had not been up to it either. Petros ran a huge PB, I did not expect him to break 28 and to stay with Crippa for so long. It would have been foolhardy for a 28:29 guy to go for 27:40 from the gun.
I think there is going to be at least one more decent 10000m race in Holland or Belgium, some might still get the standard there.
