"STABLE OF KENYAN-BORN STARS" -- Gaulty, this is racist

mcvred

Don't agree with everything here: but in general, yep. At the very worst these guys elevate the U.S running scene... I don't really care who is winning medals in a U.S singlet as long as they compete fairly. Most of these guys went to college in the U.S and have opted to live here instead of going back full time to Kenya to train (like some Bahrani and Quatari athletes), especially combined with the fact that they went to boot camp should make this a non-issue. They still have to get on the line and compete, they still have to train hard. I find Chelimo, Kipchichir, and Kebenei especially to be very interesting athletes and am just as invested in their success as a fan of U.S running as I am any American born athlete.

Bet if Chelimo finished 1st in Doha and a guy like Jenkins or Hill took 3rd some of y'all would be more mad about Chelimo competing than the fact that the U.S won two medals in a distance race. It looks silly. No person of European descent born in this country has ancestors that arrived any more or less legitimately than a Kenyan kid who wants a diploma and 4 years of college running.
