I’m not bashing Parker. I am bashing people who think it’s all the coach’s fault or Parker’s fault. I am also suggesting JK would do a good job. If we aren’t allowed to talk about people on here because our PRs aren’t better than theirs then why should we even be allowed to talk to each other right now. One of us has faster PRs than the other. So either I can’t talk to you or you can’t talk to me. Why shoul Eliud take advice from anyone slower than 2:03:00?? They haven’t gone as fast as him so anyone (like his coach) who might criticize him at any time is dumb and wrong right?
By the way, what these guys entered the marathon at is very good on any standard scale. So no learning curve. Cam Levins? No learning curve. Galen Rupp? No learning curve. Molly Huddle? Awesome. Not everyone has to train and race miserably before they “get it.”
Moron, it's not advice, it's called common sense.
You simply are over analyzing the obvious. He went too hard in the early miles and he paid the price for it. End of conversation.
That's not coaching, that's just stupid running by a capable runner who went out too fast. Got it?
Not even talking about his race tactics here. Just addressing what people have said about the guy. How do you know that wasn't the plan? Are you also the coach? You are either willfully ignorant or dense. If anything is common sense, it is that you just come across as not liking the guy.
