just pass me already!
Dawdling cyclists. I don't know if this is a new trend in my town, or if I'm just growing impatient with age and noticing it more, but I've just started to see this this summer.
I've had a ton of cyclists do the "slow pass" recently (i.e. the pass that takes 5 minutes to complete because the passer is moving at almost the same pace as the passee and refuses to speed up even a little bit). The slow pass is a little bit awkward when it's another runner who insists on running elbow to elbow with you for the better part of a mile, but it's really inexcusable when the passer is on a bike and is simply choosing to ride at a cadence of 10 RPM.
I've also had to weave through large groups of cyclists clogging up bike paths like a herd of bumbling turtles.
I'm not of the opinion that every cyclist needs to be a fit athlete clipping along at pro level training paces, but it seems like anyone should be able to comfortably bike faster than my easy run pace.
