When Webb broke down and ran badly people claimed it was because he ran too many intense intervals at a young age with no aerobic development. NOW hall has done the same but people are blaming the destroying of his immune system through long runs/ marathoning/ high mileage.
I will say I've always personally believed hall messed up by once he went marathoning he never stopped or went back to shorter 5k/10k stuff that would had been a good break from the marathon training... Not to mention you plateau w all the same marathon training.
Hall messed up?!?!?!

I think its perfectly fine to say that Webb and Hall both had tremendous careers and, due to the nature of training at a high level since teenagers, inevitably you need to hang the spikes up at some point.
