Looking at flotrack twitter, it looks like King Ches and the UTEP kenyans spotted him a lot of ground and couldn't make it up. Here's a video of the finish for Ches and the UTEP guys.

I'm glad someone is rewarded for going out hard. How many races in a row - all of them last year it seemed like - do we need to see guys go out in 4:50?
