This is what everyone says about successful low mileage runners, generally without any proof. It's almost like discussing religion. Lagat has explicitly talked about his training, which used to be lower mileage and now goes up to 70-80 mpw (keep in mind this is mostly singles, with 1 day off per week). If you can find any instance of him saying he didn't log some mileage, please share.
