Renato has given other examples of intense sessions (what one might consider "peaking" sessions) in his basic training phases, such as some very intense hill workouts mixing sprinting, bounding, and skipping. Therefore, the 600m workout could easily be used in the base phase. Further, I specifically asked what Renato uses during the base phase and he made no mention of anything other than the race pace sessions he posted.
That is why I continue bumping the thread so he will respond.
And I must relate to the poor, misinformed, mentally dwarfed poster who calls himself "perlease" (a Southern redneck, perhaps?) a quote of Renato's, with an addition of my own: "The mother of morons is always pregnant, and Mr. "perlease" is her newest child."
