I disagree with calling them cheater shoes, as they are legal in competition just not in the long jump vs. the triple jump.
The bigger issue and why I don't feel bad for Rojas at all is that she has had 4 opportunities to compete on the Diamond League (2 of each --> TJ/LJ) and she's passed on all 4. Bad for the sport.
Do these random meets in Spain and compete just twice (and both in a 4-day span), they might not catch you wearing the wrong shoes. In the past, she's competed a lot more and on the Diamond League, so unless there's an injury I don't get the philosophical shift to barely competing at all and just in random June meets in Spain. It also kept her from qualifying in on World Ranking.
