Very accurate post. FB groups are useful to an extent but a lot of it is bragging.
Some people I notice in Strava run their daily runs much faster than me but their PRs are only a few minutes faster than mine. I don't want to make the mistake of leaving my race in a tough workout again like last year. I did a 22-mile "monster" workout fast (4 EZ up, 14@MP, 2@HMP, 2 EZ down) but it left me sapped for race day and I didn't run well.
