It's not the brothers place to tell the reporter information about any allegations that he thought Reade did not want made public. Once he found out she already told the reporter, he corrected his statement.

Actually I'm a Bernie supporter. The democratic primary is not over yet we should replace Biden with Bernie who is currently in 2nd place.
Bernie has endorsed Biden calling his a good friend and a good man.

His claim is still hearsay. That means it wouldn't be admitted as evidence in a case alleging a sexual offence.
reddest herring ever, the statute of limitations is long past, nobody's thinking about a court case. They're thinking of who to vote for, and standards of proof are different - burden on the candidate.
It's not hard to see why, if Reade's claims are true, she would not want the guy to be president of her country. Nothing wrong with that. I see you invented some things you wish were true to be wrong with it, but that's just in your mind.
Surprised BW still posts here after his clown routine.

The burden to disprove an accusation is never on an accused person. Otherwise someone could say you're a child molester or a fraudster, for example, and you have to prove you aren't. If you don't agree with that you are saying we should accept an unsubstantiated smear as true. Without proof, Reade has technically libeled Biden.
The comment about hearsay in a court document is not a red herring; the point is that, contrary to what the thread suggests, it is no stronger than a hearsay claim from anyone else that Reade told them that something happened. It isn't evidence that her claim is true. Someone could claim something false about you - as I said above - and then tell someone else. Biden denies the accusations, no formal complaint was ever made against him; the rest is hearsay.
There's no proof he did the "one time thing". No one else claims he has ever done this and a lot of women who've worked with him over the years say he has never had a reputation for behaving like this.
Biden has no evidence. Reade does.
His word is bogus. It actually doesn't exist. He was kicked out of the 88' election for plagiarism and he has multiple lies in his 2020 campaign. He gropes people PUBLICLY. He would fail a 1st graders good touch / bad touch smell test regarding personal space. He has no evidence to prove he's not a creep in general. Trump is as bad.
Are there any male candidate that don't rape and lie? America has bottomed out, again.

Why was Kavanaugh held to an entirely different standard? The FBI investigated it. He got questioned under oath by senators. Democrats all over the country called him guilty and there was far less substantiation of Blaisey Ford's claims than there is of Tara Reade.
Blaisey Ford didn't even remember the YEAR or LOCATION of the incident. She never told anyone about it until decades later. In this case we have people that Reade told immediately in the same year it happened. We have proof that she was reassigned in her job just like she claims.
Reade doesn't remember the location or the date. She did not make the assault accusation until March of this year. What proof is there that she was reassigned in her job?
You're making stuff up.
No one case proves or disproves another. Blaisey Ford is irrelevant to Reade's case. The question is, what do the facts tell us. So far there are no facts in Reade's accusation against Biden, only hearsay, claims and speculation. What Reade told people are not facts; her claims relayed to friends or family can't be automatically accepted as true, they could be fabrications - which is what Biden says they are. No-one can so far prove otherwise. The only thing that would support her is if she had made a formal complaint of sexual assault against Biden. She didn't. She has admitted that. Now she says her motivation in raising it is to have him withdraw from the Presidential race. Her motivation is clearly political. Coming from someone who has gushed her support for Putin on-line, and then become a Bernie supporter, you can guess where she is coming from. We also know that her concern isn't with the principle of sexual misconduct by Presidential candidates, because she has nothing to say about the numerous allegations against the p*ssygrabbing incumbent. She is a nutjob out to get Biden. Is that how Americans want to decide their election?

Biden has "no evidence", as you say, because he says it never happened and therefore there is no evidence it did, only her word. What Reade's ex-husband has claimed she told him about harassment - which is not sexual assault, as she now claims - is not evidence that her claim is true, only that she made it. People often make stuff up. Look no further for that than the POTUS.

Those tweets are about cancer and fighting to end sexual assault. Are you seriously saying Reade supporting the fight against cancer and the fight against sexual assault are proof that she didn't get sexually abused?

In 2017 she is publicly supporting Joe Biden in his fight against cancer and sex assault. Draw your own conclusions and the rest of us will draw ours.

She knows the location and the year. She told people at the time in 1993 that she was sexually assaulted and those people corroborated that claim. There is even a phone call from the mom to Larry King. The court document is also damning.
There are co-workers who have said Tara was in her position and then suddenly and abruptly she was moved. Of course the long time Biden staffers deny it because they want him to be president.
All I'm saying is that Biden should be held to the same standard as Kavanaugh. We need an FBI investigation and the senate should question both Biden and Reade.

She only worked there for one year,so I'm not too impressed she specify what year it occurred. Everyone in Biden's office was a staffer. Neither the King phone call or her ex's statement cited sexual assault.
As other posters have noted, if Biden is required to testify in front of the Senate so should Trump. Testimony from all of Trump's accusers would delay the election until next year.

And a ,lot of other women say otherwise.
Flores, a Democratic politician from Nevada, made her allegations in an essay published in New York Magazine's The Cut in late March 2019.
Flores said that while she was preparing to go onstage at a 2014 rally during her race for lieutenant governor, Biden came up behind her, put his hands on her shoulders, smelled her hair, and kissed the back of her head.
"My brain couldn't process what was happening. I was embarrassed. I was shocked. I was confused," she wrote. "The vice-president of the United States of America had just touched me in an intimate way reserved for close friends, family, or romantic partners — and I felt powerless to do anything about it ... Even if his behavior wasn't violent or sexual, it was demeaning and disrespectful."
A court document from a 3rd party alleging that his wife made claims of sexual harrassment from another individual is not as close to proof as you get in these cases. Again, you don't know what demostrative proof is.
I did not go crazy over Ford's allegations and you won't find any evidence to the contrary.
Ally Coll, a former Democratic staffer, told The Washington Post in April 2019 that when she met Biden in 2008, he complimented her smile, squeezed her shoulders, and held her "for a beat too long."
Sofie Karasek, a progressive organizer, was photographed holding hands and touching foreheads with Biden at the 2016 Academy Awards. Karasek said she felt Biden violated her personal space in that interaction.
Amy Stokes Lappos alleges Biden pulled her face close to him during a 2009 political fundraiser.
Caitlyn Caruso said that after she shared her story of sexual assault at a University of Nevada event in 2016, Biden hugged her "just a little bit too long" and put his hand on her thigh.
DJ Hill alleges Biden rested his hand on her shoulder and moved it down her back at a 2012 fundraising event in Minneapolis. Hill said the encounter made her "very uncomfortable."
Vail Kohnert-Yount, a former White House intern, said when she met Biden in 2013, he "put his hand on the back of my head and pressed his forehead to my forehead." Kohnert-Yount also said Biden called her a "pretty girl."
At a May 2019 campaign event, Biden told a 10-year-old girl, "I bet you're as bright as you are good-looking."
Lucy Flores
On March 29, in the aforementioned essay published on the Cut, former Nevada lieutenant governor nominee Lucy Flores alleged that Biden smelled her hair and gave her “a big slow kiss” on the back of her head at an event for her 2014 campaign. In that moment, she wrote, she felt “embarrassed” and “shocked.”
“I wanted nothing more than to get Biden away from me,” she continued
Amy Lappos
When Amy Lappos was a congressional aide for U.S. representative Jim Himes in 2009, she claims that Biden touched and rubbed his nose against hers during a political fundraiser. “It wasn’t sexual, but he did grab me by the head,” she told Hartford Courant on April 1. “He put his hand around my neck and pulled me in to rub noses with me. When he was pulling me in, I thought he was going to kiss me on the mouth.”
